Isaac's Birth

Shared by Evelyn Partida on September 6, 2019
The birth of our second son was filled with joy. Pregnancy went well and Juan was right there with me...every step. He did give us a scare. When he was about to be born his heart rate dropped and the nurse said that they might have to do a c-section. I was sooo scared but Juan was calm and collected. That kept me calm. That was him. He didnt panic he always had these peaceful look. I loved it when he looked at me.  When Isaac was born Juan had bought him all kinds of baby gear with the Miami Dolphins logo. He was supper excited. The second day at the hospital was picture day for Isaac and he put a bib on him. He was always a hands on dad.  I hope our children can imitate that from him when they have their own kids. He was loving, supportive and he loved playing with them.

First Born

Shared by Evelyn Partida on June 5, 2019

Juan wanted so much to have a baby. I on the other hand didn't. How did he change my mind? Well, his love. He loved me so much. I always felt like an ugly duckling but he made me feel like a beautiful swan. He made me feel like I was the only woman in the world. He fought so hard for us to be together, he never gave up. His persistence along with his constant attention made me feel important yo him and I was. That is what changed my mind. I wanted to make him happy, I wanted to be happy with him.

I found out I was pregnant. I rushed to tell him. He was is shock. I still remember the look on his face. As the months passed by together we shared all those beautiful moments, first doctors appointment, which he never missed. He would go in the middle of the night to find me a burger because I was craving them. He would listen to music and watch our baby move around dancing.

Towards my last month things got more exciting. As a first time mom I didn't know what real contractions were, so we were at the hospital alot. One time whent we got to the hospital he was in such a rush that he tripped and fell, my poor guy. The day finally came. When I woke up to pains, he was so calm and relaxed(probably thought it false labor)he said just back to sleep they will go away. So I did. It didn't work. We went to the hospital, I was in active labor. I side hooked up to all kinds of machines and in alot of pain he had to watch me suffer. The pain was so bad that I even drove the nurse crazy she almost gave me the wrong med. Not him. He was calm just waiting to hold. When the time came he was the first to hold him and he was sooo happy. He chose his name Victor.

We get married

Shared by Evelyn Partida on May 6, 2019

January 25, 1997 was just like any other day. Our son, VIctor was just a little over 3 months old. Juan had something on his mind. He asked me, "why don't we get married now" it was more like a statement. I said yes. After talking to my parents(who thought we were crazy) they agreed. So we planned our wedding. We were married with in ONE week!!!!! February  1,1997.  When we took our vows to love honor and take care of each other till death due us part, we looked into each others eyes and there was something in the way he looked at me that I will never ever forget. Everything was so fast. It wasn't a big wedding. Our families and friends helped with the food and cake. Only our families and closest friends were there but we were so happy. One of the happiest days of my life. To be honest, the only regret I have of that day is that I don't have a single picture. I have come to understand something since then. When you love some one, truly love some one, you will make it happen. That is what we did. We were now  Mr. and Mrs. Partida.
