Juan Garza-Gongora,
You are a very prominent memory in my childhood. You are the father of my best friend and always made me feel so welcome in your home. I have so many memories where I was blessed to be part of evening meals, trips to Braunig Lake, and was once welcomed in your office were you worked.
One meal I shared in your home, I remember well because you cooked up these big juicy steaks just for Vanessa & I. You made us laugh all evening sitting at the kitchen table. In fact, every time I was around, you greeted me with a smile and made me feel I belonged.
Thank you for the love you always showed your daughter's friend. Thanks for all the laughs and the great memories too!
It breaks my heart that your family will not get to see you for a while. You are their rock and their strength, but don't worry. You did your job well! Your legacy as a husband, as a father, and a grandfather will live on for generations to come.
I remember looking at pictures of your singing days and listening to stories about you and all your successes. The wonderful stories about you will not end anytime soon. They will be a source of comfort and strength for those who love you! Your love for your family will wrap them with warmth and help them get through this difficult time without you.
You are in my heart & always part of my memories. Thank you for making my childhood memories with my best friend that much sweeter!
With all my heart,
Marianne Bankhead
