Purple Fuzzy Gloves

January 30, 2015

The first gift Judy ever gave me was a pair of  gloves with fuzzy purple cuffs. I was newly dating Jay, and hardly knew her. There is nothing subtle about these gloves and I remember thinking what a daring gift that was.  Well, I love them and have enjoyed wearing them each winter to add some fun and color to the cold dreary winter routine. As I got to know Judy over the next few years, I came to see just how those purple fuzzy gloves mirrored some of her personality.  Judy was fun and loved to joke and be silly.  We ejoyed many laughs (sometimes at Jay's expense) together. She loved girly things, which made shopping a blast, and she could rock the latest fashions with the best of them.  When we traveled together around Oregon or Maryand Judy would make freinds wherever she went.  I would aways find her chatting with the waitress or fellow tourists sharing a story or a laugh.  One of my favorite memories was telling Judy that she was going to be a greandma again....two times over. She was thrilled for us and we enjoyed updating her after all our doctor visits.

We will miss you, Judy.

My Grandma & Bestfriend

January 29, 2015

I can easily say that my grandma was one of my best friends along with my mom and grandma Teri.. & to be honest, not many people can say that about their grandma. She was the person I went to with my "teenager problems" & she would sit and listen. No matter what it was. She always knew how to have a good time & make everyone around her smile. When my sister Felicity & I would go to her little studio, downtown, she always got excited & so did we!! We even had our own little drawer full of candy & cookies, but of course we would learn to share them with her. She would show us around her work and show us off to her friends. She knew everyone, & everyone knew her. We would dance around my room when she lived with us & she always loved it when I did her makeup. The one thing I really really enjoyed about her is how much she loved to laugh. She LOVED to laugh, & I loved to laugh with her. I will always miss her laugh, and how she wanted everyone to loosen up. She never understood why people didn't just laugh about stuff like her and I did. I dont either. What I have learned from my grandma Judy is even though life is really tough sometimes, you just have to laugh. I still can believe that she is gone, and I probably never will. I love my grandma and hope that shes partying it up there with Jesus, and with her mom who she loved so so much. My gardian angel.

Mom and her parents

January 20, 2015

Mom loved to be with her parents and just be together.  We would go to her parents home in West Linn quite a bit as young children and believe me, we loved every minute.  It was a wonderful time as we were able to be not only with our mom but we were able to be with our mom and see her with her parents.  It was always fun and she had many laughs and adventures in West Linn with her family.

I'll always remember how happy she was being with her Mom and Dad during those times.

Love you mom,

Grandma Friends

January 20, 2015

Judy and I shared many wonderful moments together as we were both Bri and Felicity's Grandmas.  We had the opportunity also to live together a couple months while we were in between houses at Tyler and Beci's.  We both said it was an enjoyable time.  How many people can say that they were actually friends with the kids other Grandma.  I can and Judy could.

One very favorite memory I have of Bri and Judy when I was at Tyler and Beci's is when I was downstairs and I could hear Bri and Judy laughing their head off about something up in Bri's room.  It will always hold a special place in my heart.  And one day I went upstairs and there was Grandma Judy snuggled in Fissie's bed with her reading stories.  Judy endeared herself to me as well as the kids and grandkids and I will forever miss her smile and giggles.
