Just from my brief encounter with June, I could tell that she was a sister of great character, style, humor, intelligence and love. I feel blessed to have known her that much. She was one of the few characters that could be put in a similar category as my mom - someone unique and special.

I fell in love with June the instant I met her in 2008. June was very easy to love. There is a hole in my heart from the space in it that she once filled. June was not “like” family – she WAS family. I feel her loss as much as I would a blood relative. Even though I am comforted knowing that she is no longer suffering, I will miss her until the day when we are reunited. May your sleep be short, my beloved Sister and friend June. Come, Lord Jesus – quickly come!
