I missed You

December 5, 2023
Hey daddy
Today is your birthday and as far as you are from us, we still feel you closer in every and any thing we do.
Since you departed, I am becoming this woman you always saw in me. That God-fearing, strong, humble, educated and vibrant woman.
I am now a mother of 4kids, a Wife and a Manager, but the most important one is that I have find eternal rest and peace in Jesus
As we all hopeful for the great resurrection morning, continue to rest in Peace ️ Daddy.

A Honorable Man

July 9, 2012

Jackson Wonde was my friend since I met him at the Red Cross where both of us worked. He continued to be my friend after he become Deputy Minister of Labor. I knew well Jackson, a truly honorable man. He was a patriot, a family man and a good friend of his friends.
Hon. Jackson Wonde will be truly missed.
Rest in Peace

DEAR DAD

July 2, 2012
Dear Dad,

We will never say goodbye to you
because we know this is not the end for us to see each other.
You will only be going to a place where there’s no pain nor suffering.
We are happy for you, for you will be with God.
For now we need to go in separate ways.
We will always remember how your arms held us and give us strength.
You were always there to listen, love, and defend us in everything.
You were... our very best friend.
In our triumphs you were always proud.
We’re forever and very grateful and proud to call you our dad.
Here deep inside our hearts you’ll always be.
We would give up everything we have just to hug you one more time.
We felt the world stop and our heart stop beating when they told us you’re gone…….
How we wish we were only dreaming.
Just like the rain; tears fell down from our eyes,

Thank you Dad….
for always understanding, listening, caring, and loving us for the rest of your life.
The greatest gift God gave us was YOU…….. Our Dad…
It’s difficult to let you go but we must…
we must return the gift God gave us…
Till then; See you in Heaven………

Love Jacklyne & Tonia

Hon. Jackson Wonde left a Great Legacy

June 27, 2012

There are few people in this world with strong moral and ethical characteristic like that of Hon. Jackson N. Wonde. He was always concerned about everyone and everything that affects his people. His hope that we ourselves could pave the way to create LIGHT at the end of the tunnel is what we are guarded by in our leadership today.

Even when he left for a bigger assignment to help restore better governance in Liberia, he never forgot about the Grand Gedeh Association in the Americas. Below is one of the many communications he emailed to help keep his people together. This communication was sent during the constitution review process in May 2010 when I served as Secretary to the Constitution Review Committee under Mr. William Nyanue.

Jackson Wonde To Tillman Collins, William Nyanue   Dear Tillman,   I am making a few comments on your suggestions for amendments to the existing GGAA's constitutions. Otherwise, as I've mentioned before, this is a great effort - thank you.   1. Under duties of principle bodies: organizational structure (p.4), section 2 provides for 6 (5 +1 new) standing committees. However, you seemed to suggest on p.9 deleting all the functions. is that right? and if yes, why?   2. Qualifications of officials: section 1 amended: All candidates seeking ...... shall not be indebted ....... Why couldn't that provide read: All candidates seeking ..... shall be active members, so that definition of active could include all that is listed as conditions for positions.   3. Article V, Section 2b amended: The national conference shall be the forum for planning, evaluation of program .... (could you add review of progress?)   4. Finally, could the text be in the form of a matrix for easy  reference and comparison?   Thank you.   Wonde
Now that he is gone, each of us will have to decide in private, in our hearts and consciences, how to learn from his great LEGACY. REST IN PEACE BIG BROTHER , WE WILL FOREVER REMEMBER YOU.

I met Mr. Wonde in feb. 2012

June 27, 2012

My encountered with Big brother & 'doodee' Jackson Wonde was always base on advise, discussions on academic issues, Liberia's rapid economic recovery & reconstruction, ECOWAS electricity coming through Toe's town to the Southeast  soon, etc.etc

During my recent  visit  to Liberia in feb this year, I met minister Jackson Wonde  around Thinkers village  at his house relaxing  in his hammock. We  chatted well.  It was a great oppourtunity for me to get the best out of this knowledeable son of Grand Gedeh County. I quizzed him to my satisfaction  on  recent past issues and current Liberian affairs. He was one of my heroes and role models.Jackson, i respect you and will missed you.

Doodee: God loves you, and  may light perpectual shine upon you. Sleep sound...
