So..... today you would have been five years old and with each birthday that passes. is the realisation of just how much we all missed out on.
When I spend time with your brothers and your sisters. It's not without a thought for you and the times of wondering, just how different things would have been with you here. You would have kissed and hugged me at family parties and called me Auntie Nik. I would have kissed and hugged you back and been proud of punch that you were my nephew.  
You will always be my nephew, though you are not here with us. One day, we will be together and I will hold you and kiss you and tell you how much you are loved by your whole family.
I know you're with Nanny and grandad McAllister and she will make sure that you have a great birthday party. We will all be there with you in spirit, though we can't be there physically. Not yet little man but one day.
Be a good boy. Always listen to Nanny. I love you to the moon and back. Hugs you millions. Kisses you . Love you my beautiful newphew.

I lit a candle in a lantern that burnt for three weeks to mark your life and how much light and love you brought to mine.

You had a train track that went round, I would have loved to play with it with you.
