"Special remembrances to a special lady."
"I was honored to work closely with Karen on one of her many, many projects. I remember watching her conduct Side by Side once, marveling at how much knowledge, feeling and artistry she was able to telegraph to each singer with a simple gesture or glance. She had so much heart, and will be deeply missed."
"My sincere sympathy to the family. Karen has left a great legacy to the Island through the Young Singers program of Bainbridge Chorale. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us. We will miss you!"
"Karen will be missed by many. I thank you, Karen, for believing in me as a singer. It meant a great deal to me."
"The first time I saw Karen was circa 198, and she was directing the cast of Guys and Dolls in "Sit Down, You're Rocking the Boat." I could see in an instant that she was eliciting extraordinary performances. Since then I've been privileged to sing under Karen's direction. She was a force of nature and will be missed keenly by all."
"We have lost a great friend. My deepest condolences."
