wow where to start Karen was one of the very 1st to cut my hair when I was little .I grewup  nextdoor to her Mom Whom we all called Lou. SO I got to know Karen and Greg & Shonna through her .I spent time like everyone else in the bueaty shop watching her cut hair and just talkng with everyone she will be missed by many . My Heat goes out to her 2 wonderful kids Grag & Shonna

Barbara and I are heartsick over the passing of our long time friend. Since the news reached us we have spoken often of the great times we shared with Bev and Karen when we could carve out the time. I can hear her laughing now, and when she laughed, we all laughed. She was always giving of her friendship to all fortunate enough to know her. We are terribly sad for her family and Bev.

Karen, you and Bev have always been two of my favorite people. I have admired, respected and loved you. You gave truth to the word unconditional! I wish I had told you but I hope you knew. Bev, Gail and I are here for you. A huge loss for all her family and friends.

If there was just one more day. One more laugh, one more shared secret, or just one more beer, Duck. Every memory brings a smile and yet my heart aches to lose you. A Toast to our Best Friend and Sister! We will never forget all the wonderful Thanksgiving dinners, Christmas dinners and all the other great meals you cooked for us! Trips to gamble,lunches out or just to visit on the phone. It will never be the same without "You". Don't worry about Bev,We will "Forever" watch over our other "Sister" too!

One of the kindest people Neal and I ever had the privilege of knowing. Didn't see Bev or Karen much in later years, but kept in touch with Christmas card catch up "moments"! Felt we'd never been apart. Will always remember the wonderful way she treated people...when we were WE ARE FAMILY performing in the early 80's...she brought Bev and an entourage to cheer us on. We love you both!

We have such great memories of Karen when we came to visit. "Depends" were a must when she was wound up!!!! lol....Life just isn't fair. Why do the good one have to leave us so soon. Please know Bev that you are always in our families thoughts!!!! Love you bunches!!!!

my sympathy to karens family.i have know karen since i was a little girl and she always did my sister joyce(albrecht)powells hair.she cut my hair a few times too.always laughing and smiling and so funny.was so sad to hear this.may she rest in peace.i remember going out to the farm with my dad cyriel to see ed and alida and alida bringing eggs to our house.many memories

I'm so sorry to learn that Karen has passed away. I recall an always smiling, smart, and funny woman. She was the most "together" woman I think I've ever known. My condolences to Bev and her children and their families.

Oh my gosh, Karen. You left us way too soon! Thank you for your friendship, hospitality, welcoming smile and most of all for Shonna. She is an angel in my life. I know that you are now an angel that is not within our sight, but surely active in watching over your loved ones and lighting the way.

Mom, I cannot believe you are gone. Things happened so very quickly, and I am glad that you are out of pain.

During your life, you touched so many people and blessed them with your quick wit, positive outlook, and love of life. I hope this website is a way for your friends and loved ones to find comfort in healing.

Mom, as we sit here today, it is so hard to believe that you are really gone. God took you so fast, we are so glad that you are no longer in pain and are at peace. As we go on, we know you are up there watching over us. You were the best Mom and Mother-in-law anyone could ask for. Your laughter and smiles will remain in our thoughts and hearts forever.
