This little light of mine, "I'm gonna let it shine". Your light will never grow dim to all who knew and admired you as a friend. Keep that light shining all over the world!!!
Kathy taught me a lot. I was her producer for a bit on KSJL. She never judged me and I could tell her anything and know that I would have her support. She gave me hope and strength and I always looked forward to recording sessions for her radio show. I learned a lot about my own culture that was not taught in schools. I learned from the people she brought into the studio to educate one another. I was truly blessed to have known her. I miss you Kathy. Happy Birthday!
Whenever an issue arises, affecting the daily life of our community, I listen for the voice, too soon stilled, to call attention to our ills and our solutions. Kathy will be forever missed and never forgotten. She spoke for so many, who were incapable of speaking for themselves. Love you still, my friend.
Kathy's years on the earth were indeed a blessing to all who were fortunate enough to have known her.Her intellect and love of her People was evident throughout her newspaper and continue to be missed. Wm B

Kathy has been a true inspiration to my friend Linda Clay Carr. I know she is looking down on us with pride. Happy Birthday to an incredible woman. We are all motivated to give more and contribute our gifts to the world as we think about the legacy she left. I am dedicated to making a positive impact on the children I serve May God bless the Clay family.
Kathy was a jjoy whenever you were in her presents. We shared many good times with each other in doing the work of the community. Kathy was a joy to work with and to bring the right picture to the table.
I am so sorry to hear of Kathy's passing. She was a smart classy lady and a woman of great vision. I worked with her for a while as her web master and she was always a pleasure to work with. She will be missed.
I miss you, sooooo much, Kathy, but mostly when I'm trying to do an event and just can't call you. I think you're THERE directing everyone on what to do and how to do it. Love ya, Girl!
Kathy, I miss your Light in the world for Justice and Equal Rights for All. I miss your voice both in your speaking and in your writing. You are irraplacable. I will never forget you.
I've tried a thousand times to create in my mind "your voice" during the senseless killing of Trayvon Martin but the words, your words, would not come. You are truly missed.
There are no word to express how much I miss you. I miss your words of encouragement, your wisdom, and your strength. I miss your funny stories about your children and grandchildren. I miss picking up the phone and calling you. I miss sharing my feelings with you.In everything, I miss you so much. I think of you countless time daily . A thousand times, I miss you and will always love you.
Oh how we miss you and so wished you could have seen your great niece. She was born 2 days before your birthday last year but we brought her home to the same place you were raised on your birthday!! We also never got to hear those names you were working on but we named her Eliza Jane which means Gods Promise, hope you would approve. Thanks for all the prayers you prayed for us to get her<3
