Happy Birthday Mom! Been thinking about you a lot lately. Dad's keeping up on his golfing. The kids are all working and loving life. I think about you often and have written a few letters to you. I'm sure you enjoyed hearing about how all of us are doing, our dreams and triumphs. Love you and miss you, Marci

Happy Birthday Kay! Remembering all the good times we shared and each week I think of you, as Roger is playing golf on Sundays with us.
Remember you told me I could be The ladies club champion and this year I made it and my thoughts were that you were there helping me.
Miss you my friend!

I am so sadden to learn about Kay's passing. I only new her from purchasing her fabulous Gingersnaps cookie jars in 1996-98. Periodically I searched the internet for where I could purchase more only to learn of her passing. For at least 8 years, I scouted various upscale art fairs to no avail. My cookie jar is always the center of attention in my kitchen and I purchased one for my neighbor in 1998 after her bout with cancer. I still need to fulfill a pledge to my favorite realtor to gift her one too! Kay's art brings smiles & the detail so unmatched! My condolences to her family.

We met Kay and Roger through Jim and Urla at art shows. We enjoyed going out to dinner with them. Kay was a wonderful person, very talented with her cookie jars, and with a great sense of humor. Even though we did not see her often she was on my mind. I always asked Urla if she had heard from her lately. I will truly miss her.

It's been a lot of years (I must have lost you on your move North) but, I will never forget the great times we had while you were living in Markesan. Roger, Kay was always there to "keep us in Line"...not that we ever needed that! I am so sorry to hear of Kay's passing. Roger, Eric & Marci, and families, you have my deepest sympathies!

I didn't know Kay personally, but I know her wonderful daughter, Marci. Kay gave me a Great Friend and one I'd call a sister. What a wonderful contribution to the world!

My father, Kurt Hitzemann, owned the store adjoining Kay and Roger's pharmacy in Markesan. I have many childhood memories of playing between the two stores and both Kay and Roger were always friendly and happy. My condolences to you, Roger, Eric, and Marci, and your whole family.

Kay was one of the "Lucky 13" in high school and will always be remembered as a very funny, crazy, energetic girl. It is sad to think that our bunch has lost another very dear person. My sympathy and comfort to all who have had the privilege of knowing her - especially her family. Heaven is a better place. Caryl Kruse Ligler

Our family had so much fun with Kay and Roger in Markesan, and even as a kid I always considered Kay to be the life of the party, full of energy and ready with a joke or laugh. She was up for anything, from snowmobiling in Yellowstone to canoe camping on the Peshtigo River. When I was 18 and needed a suit, she pulled one off the rack of her store and gave it to me, a very kind gesture. Condolences to Roger, Eric and Marci.

Kay touched so many with her zest for life, her willingness to get involved with the Markesan community, her businesss, her kid's school activities, all accomplished with a great sense of humor and an approach of "Let's get this done". I'm richer for knowing her and glad to call her my "friend". You, Roger, Eric and Marci and families, have memories upon memories of sweetness and love. May God continue to comfort and Bless you.
