I will never forget when he was 10 yrs. old. We were playing catch and the ball went over the wooden fence. I said I got it. I started climbing over the fence and the top wood broke and I fell over the fence into the woods. You laughed so hard..I will never forget that laugh. This memory brought a smile to my face many times over the years. Miss you much buddy. ❤Happy Birthday❤ (twma)

"Where's your shirt?" "What shirt? haha"

June 15, 2012

I can remember it like it was yesterday, we were all at Colton's house before he moved to Arizona. And me and Pete were sitting on the couch in the basement and when you walked upstairs the first time you had your shirt on, when you come back down you had no shirt on .. I go "Kev, where's your shirt?" you started to laugh and you said "What shirt?" than you laid on the carpet and started texting, I took a picture of you cause it was just SO funny , but I got a new phone and lost it. I miss you man, and everytime I see a blue jay I think of you. You'll always be with me in some way, I cant explain how much I miss you. Well, I'll see you soon and we can play all the baseball we want. <3

June 11, 2012

Today is the two month aniversary of the passing of my son, Kevin. This week is an emotional week, being that today is two months since his passing and that I will be going to the school to pick up his "graduation kit". I will receive his cap, gown, diploma, tassel and tickets. Wednesday is the actually graduation day. My husband, my niece and I plan on going to sit with my very good friend who'sdaughter (who was Kevin's girlfriend) is graduating. We want to support the kids who have given us such love over these last few months. I went to his gravesite on Saturday, fresh flowers, my niece put a blue jay there, prom glasses and flowers. All I could do is cry because I miss him so much. He should be here going through this with his classmates but God had other plans. Please God carry me through this week. Love and miss you so much.

greatest game ever

May 18, 2012

kevin was such an awesome kid and an awesome ball player.i was always proud of him but 1 game he did something ill never forget. he pitched for his little league team and ha was up against the other great pitcher they called baby rocket and hundreds of peaple came anticipating a great game and wow what a game it was.1st inning no hits either team and that continued all game no hits no runs kevin stuck out almost every hitter he faced with gritty determination and after 7 unbelievable innings for both kids kevin came up with 2 outs in extra innings after pitching the best game ive ever seen pitched and ive seen a lot and he had 2 strikes and all of a sudden he swung hard at a fastball and crushed it over the fence, over the scoreboard and into the highway ,a walkoff game winning home run to win the game in which he pitched a perfect game. unbelievable and as his team carried him on their shoulders i thought to myself that i was never more or never would be more proud of a person in my life . kevin you were the best at every thing you did son and i miss you dearly i lovvvvve you  dad

Just saying

April 30, 2012

I remember when there was little bit of trouble going on with Kevin and I sent him a letter..simply asking him to try and get himself together...well, when he wrote back he said yeah thats what I want to do..because I know whats right and wrong...I had said in the letter, I know parents can be a pain in the ass, but yours care so much..and he said I know my mom and dad love me...and that he just wanted to try and seek out what was good in life..he was really excited about being able to come home for Christmas last year, which I know is a huge part of our family..esp. with his mom and dad...and I was so happy too...glad he was there to share all the cheese potatoes we made grandma make! LOL...I think he was sick to his stomach after how much he ate..but yeah..we always made a point to do that..and I can just hear Kevin laughing like.."I am gonna take this whole tray!" LOL ahh...memories :)

Kevin's wake up

April 28, 2012

I was remembering this the other night and it made me laugh.  When Kevin was about 7 or 8 (still young enough to lay his head on Mommy's lap and watch TV).  It was a school night, and while watching TV he fell asleep on his pillow on my lap.  So when it was time to put him in his room, I was like shaking him to wake him up and he puts his head up looks at me with these glassy eyes and says "and the rocekts red glare" and I was just stunned and then burst out in laughter.  Unfortunetly it woke him up and he did not remember anything but he was like "no way".  Then he busted out laughing and we all know Kevin even at this young age trying to figure out why he said that.  I simply said you were dreaming and I guess you were singing the national anthem.  What a puzzeled look I got, but we both got a huge laugh out of it.

First Homerun

April 20, 2012

It was Kevin's last year on the Braves, he was prob. 11 going on 12 or may have been 12 already.  It was the first game of the season and his first at bat.  Not sure exactly what pitch but he hit his first homerun ever that day, all firsts, first game, first at bat, it was amazing.  I remember everyone high fiving and I of course I had tears in my eyes.  Had goose bumps and the season went on to be awesome with many more HRs and we actually won the Little League World Series that Year.  What a way to remember your son's first HR ever, it was truly awesome.

Lunch at McDonalds

April 20, 2012

Kevin was like 3-4 years old.  We had attended Church and afterwards we stopped at the McDonalds in Brick for lunch.  At the time they had one of their promotional games going on, it might have been Monopoly.  Anyhow, we were sitting there eating and I just happened to open one of the game pieces and it said that I won a free pack of underwear.  Out of no where this little boy just bursted out laughing and saying "mommy won a free pair of underwear" over and over again.  And just was uncontrollably laughing.  And of course his infectious laugh caught on and he had all the surrounding tables just laughing so hard and the people that worked there.  We must have laughed for a good 1/2 hr.  Truly one of the best times I remember with that wonderful laugh.

Billy's 2nd birthday

April 19, 2012

I remember this like it was yesterday, I dressed up as Elmo for Billy Birthday, and I am so glad Kevin was there, even though u can not see me, I am smiling that he  his picture with me, Kevin even though we had several special moments you were apart of my family and my heart. I love you.... And I know you are shinning down on us from heaven.

Day he was born.

April 19, 2012

I remember the day he was born.  He was the most adorable baby in Community Hosp.  :).  Over these last few days I listened to countless stories how he had such an infectious smile and a zest for life.  Even a few days old he had the nurses in the palm of his little hand.  They would stop by my room just to see and hold him, they instantly fell in love with him.  So even just a few days old he had that affect on people. That is a gift he carried through these past 18 yrs and he will continue to do. This is not goodbye but a see you later.  I will always carry him in my heart.

I have the video

April 13, 2012

Prom 2011

April 13, 2012

I took this picture. His mom asked me if I could come by and just take a few pictures of him before his prom, before pictures with friends..cause Kevin decided last minute he was going to go to his Junior Prom...so I said, SURE I will take some pictures..because pictures are memories...I never thought that it would be a picture that would wind up being one of the last I took...But he is handsome...I'll never forget it, kept telling him to smile and this is what we got... ;)

The Smashed T.V

April 13, 2012

I remember the day like it happened yesterday. It was me and kevin hanging out in his room when we heard a loud crash. We went outside and noticed that the t.v tht was outside his house was broken. At the same time we saw this kid jesse who lived arcross the street run inside. So kevin got soooo mad he was like oh hell no thys is not happening and he picked it up and threw the t.v through the kids front door and left a note saying " the t.v is yours now ". From that moment we started to uncontrollably laugh for like 3 hrs. straight. Everytime after that wenever we looked at his house we cracked up laughing. i miss you buddy. i love you. you were like a brother to me . Rest easy buddy. <3

The Broken Fence

April 12, 2012

Kevin was 10 yrs. old, we were at Birchwood Park kicking a soccer ball around. And the ball went over the wooden fence, And I said I will get it. Well as I was climbing over it, the top piece of wood on the fence broke and I went down on my butt. That was the hardest I ever saw him laugh. Everytime we saw each other we laughed about that..Your great smile will live forever..Love you Buddy, see ya later..<3
