Though I have known Kit since fifth grade, it was more as a familiar admirer than as a friend while we were in high school. The friendship we formed online, then in camp, became one of my most valued. I fondly remember the one-on-one conversations we enjoyed while cooking meals together, or just walking around camp. His spirit accompanies all of us to this day when we get together around the fire to swap stories, eat rich salty food, and drink non-weasel-piss beer. I am so grateful to have come to know and love him.

Dearest Becky, Nick and Adam... one year has passed , it's so surreal...I think of Kit quite a bit.. esp. now that Lion King is coming back to Syracuse..Becky... you have so much energy in you... that is what Kit would of wanted.. Emma, is attached to Pat quite a bit when we have her... IDK.. he's a male and I'm sure she misses Kit as much as we do, especially as much as you... This tribute is beautiful.. and I will probably watch it a thousand times... Love to you all..

A mensch to the extreme, he put color in the gray areas, I never left a conversation without a laugh and sometimes many! I can't believe he is gone, he was beloved by so many, the orchestra was a cause for him not a job, we used to have chats in the library and he always had something he was really excited about to show me and when he handed me music I knew he prepared it to a fault. He was rare bird (Duck), I am so sad, but so grateful to have known him.

It's hard to face the reality that Kit is gone. He was the best college stand partner ever! But Becky and Kit meant more than that to me and Bruce. We wouldn't have found each other without the two of you. Thank you for that. I feel so grateful to have known him. Love you two forever.

I have no memory of when I met Kit and Becky. It felt like I always knew them and I remember they were always together.
What a terrific guy! So accomplished, good friend, father, husband. Becky you are so lucky to have had 40 whole years with Kit - that is something most of us have never had.
I wonder if Kit and Lorrie Green will be hanging out?

His cheer shall now be all of ours. Here here!! To all he gave and to us that received it! May his sweet music play on...

Kit was my viola teacher for many years. He always believed in me, even when I didn't believe in myself. I can now do the same thing for all of my students and that part of Kit can be passed down through many generations of violists

Kit was a beautiful note in the sheet music of this life... His musical talent and humor will be missed! I remember him from organizing my quartet at my wedding with the Clinton String Quartet and the beautiful music they played at my reception. Becky, my heart aches for your loss and know that I am here for you always! I had the pleasure of teaching your boys art and working with you and consider you a friend. Hugs to you all!

Becky, Nick and Aaron, we have been heartbroken over your loss of Kitt. Our boys have grown up together and you and Steve have had many years teaching together. We have also enjoyed so many concerts by the Symphony. As a piano and clarinet player music has always been in my heart. I am sure as you listen and play any music his memory will always be in you hears too. All our love and prayers. Stephen, Lorraine Geoffrey and Daniel Szilagyi

Kit, we had to have met in the opening days of September, 1961 when Silver Lea Elementary opened its doors. I thought we had several years in the same class, but a review of grade school photos only showed us in the same class in 3rd grade. That was before you took up the viola and went a little weird on us. And then through Colin P Kelly JHS and North Eugene, where you won the "Beethoven "Not So Hot" Award" at the Senior Breakfast. How little we knew. Your greatness, Kit, will be measured and treasured in memories held by your family and friends. For me, it culminated seeing you last year at Red Diamond campground. I am so glad I made that small trip to see a friend that crossed a continent to spend time with friends. Thank you, and via con dios, amigo.
