Seven years today, seven years you have been gone from our lives. Oh how we miss you still, your laugh, your smile your presents in our lives. It just doesn't seem fair, we miss out on your dreams, your happiness, your ups, yours downs, your love. How we smile when our friends and family tell us about the success of their children but our hearts aches. How we wish we had someone to talk about, to brag about, even to complain about. It doesn't seem fair, our only joy is knowing God showed us you are with him. You have no more fear, no more pain or sorrow, just love. We will live out the rest of our lives praising the Lord and doing his will so that we can be together again in heaven, oh how we look forward to that day! Hey buddie, sorry it took me so long to post our pictures celebrating your 21st birthday in Hawaii. As we promised we would when you graduated from high school. Like you wished, we had dinner in a nice Japanese restaurant and we all had a toast of saki to celebrate your 21st birthday like you wanted. It was a wonderful evening and we will always cherish it.

You would have been 21 today....when you and Luke were 16 and the 4 of us were in Vegas, we talked about getting back there when you two were 21. Everyone is remembering you today. Your family is in Hawaii, in your memory and we honor you and the joy you gave just by being you. My son was so blessed to have you as his best friend. His favorite times were spent talking to you for hours everyday. You leave a hole in our hearts but we take comfort in knowing that you are rejoicing in heaven and we will all be toagain. Until then, we will honor you and try to find joy in your memory.

They say time heals all wounds, but it’s been a year and today it seems like it was just yesterday. Our sorrow is the price we pay for our love and we loved you greatly and still do and will always.

God has shown us signs that you are with him, we know we will be together again. Oh what a wonderful day that will be! But until then we will carry you in our heart and remember all the wonderful time we had and the smiles you brought and thank God for the time we had with you!

We thank all of our wonderful friends and family for keeping us in their thoughts and prayers and for all of the wonderful thing you all have done for us. Please continue to remember Kota and don’t be afraid of talking about him with us. If it brings a tear to our eye, it’s not a sign of our sadness it’s a sign of our Love.

Hello everyone, this is Joel. I would like to say thanks to everyone for all the love, support and prayers.Trina, Tim and Luke, you are a blessing in our lives and we thank you for all you have done. Everyone has been wonderful and we love you all.

Kota you will be missed by many, many people. I realize your work in this world was done, and now you have work to do in Heaven. Your life in this world was short, but it was complete; you touched so many people and made a difference in their lives for the better. I only knew Kota through his amazing mom Shena. You didn't know Shena without knowing her son. Our sons were the same age so I enjoyed hearing stories about Kota and comparing notes. My heart is heavy because of the fragility of life, but grateful of Shena's shining example of motherhood. My love is with you Shena.

Kota was the friend every mother dreamed of for their child. He was my son, Luke's best friend for 17 years. Fiercely loyal, always trusting, never judgmental and forever there for you. He and my son talked for hours everyday on their favorite platform, Discord. Often times they watched movies together, "virtually" from their separate homes. I watched him grow up and turn into a loving, smart and sweet young man. His departure hurts and will leave a big hole in our lives but I know he has his wings. I will miss you big guy!

Miss you Kota Mackey rest easy my cousin... I'm going to miss seeing you at every holiday and seeing you out front messing with your camera . I have so many memories of you I can't share them all. Memories from day 1 to california through to colorado.. Im going to miss your prayers and miss your smile and our awkward conversations lol. Going to miss playing games with you online and hearing your voice iver the headset. You changed the lives of many, many people and fornthat reason you finished what you were put here to do and jesus came to get you for fulfilling your duties early. I LOVE YOU !!! We will meet again bro.
