Sweet Kristin, I miss you today as much as I ever have. I wrote this pitiful poem to comfort Aunt Rosie when when Uncle Eddie died, but is seems appropriate to share this with you today. It brings me some comfort, but has a whole new meaning to me today. I love you so much.
Weep not for those who have gone ahead,
Who have traveled past the bend in the road
Of Life, called Death. Joyfully they await
Us in a land of loveliness untold.
The time of parting seems long to us,
Who cannot see the roads destination.
To God's eye, it is just a breath,
Til we reunite in jubilation.
There will soon come a time for all of us
to leave this burdened material earth,
To dwell in the land of peace , love and joy,
Where are souls are the treasures of worth.
A Land full of love and forgiveness
Awaits us at the end or road,
With a Father to gently embrace us
as He leads us back to His fold.
Weep not for those you'll soon meet with joy
In the realm of truth, freedom and light.
They wait for you where there is no pain,
Where God has banished sorrow's night.
