May God hold you in the hollow of his hand

Shared by SABRINA SUMMERS on September 12, 2011

May the roads rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rain fall soft upon your fields
And, until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.

My family and I would like to pay tribute to Toya. We all loved her so much and she will be missed. I came across a poem that I would like to share because I feel that if Toya would have been able to leave some words, these are the words she would have spoke...

When I am gone, release me, let me go.
You have so many things to see and do.
You mustn’t tie yourself to me with tears.
Be happy that we had so many years.

I gave you my love, you can only guess,
How much you gave me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have shown,
but now it’s time I traveled on alone.
So grieve a while for me, if grieve you must.
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It’s only a while that we must part,
So bless the memories within your heart.
I won’t be far away, for life goes on.
So if you need me, call and I will hear.
Though you can’t see or touch me, I’ll be near.
And if you listen with your heart, you’ll hear,
All of my love around you soft and clear.
And then, when you must come this way,
I’ll greet you with a smile and say
“Welcome Home”.
