Laurette Jane Thompson, 74 went home to be with the Lord in The Villages, FL on January 22, 2019.  Laurette was born in Brooklyn, NY moving to Clifton, NJ. Her parents were Vincent and Maria Montone. She attended Clifton High School and Northeastern Bible College. She married Paul Thompson on November 10, 1962 as they started a family of five children.  She was a loving and dedicated wife, sister, mother, aunt, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and an amazing friend. Laurette always had a very kind and generous heart looking to help others.  She loved being surrounded by her family and friends, being outdoors in nature, gardening, sewing, quilting, enjoyed golfing and traveling. She enjoyed working as a Paraprofessional for many years at Clifton High School.  Laurette was an active member of many churches whether she was in Florida, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania. Laurette was a member of the Villages Mulberry Quilters Guild. She was also a member of The Live Oaks Church where she made many friends that she loved deeply and enjoyed volunteering at the Filler Factory where she filled thousands of shoe boxes for children in need.

Surviving are her husband Paul Thompson of 56 years, her brother Vito Montone, her daughters Sheryl, Donna, Lauren, Tammie, her son Keith, grandchildren Jessica, Ashley, Monica, Jaclyn, Julie, Michelle, Stephanie, Matthew, Kristy, and Kyle, her son-in-laws Michael, Mark, Jim, and Roy, her daughter-in-law Renee, and great-grandchild Charlotte and beloved Dusty Boy.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 11:00 am, at Live Oaks Community Church, 12070 County Road 103, Oxford, FL 34484.
