Her Life
April 20, 2018

Mrs. Grizzard was born December 4, 1958 in Tucson, Arizona to the late Mac Acca Craven, Jr. and the late Julia Helen Richardson Craven.

Having accepted Christ as a young girl, she was an active member of several Baptist churches throughout her life and was known for regularly using her talents as a pianist and organist in service to the Lord. Most recently, she blessed the congregation of Mount Pleasant Baptist church with her gifts, where she played piano regularly. She also loved God’s Word and diligently studied her Bible for decades.

She graduated from Haralson County High School, Class of 1976, where she was the Star Student and Salutatorian.

She graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree in 1980. She married Tim Grizzard on July 24, 1982. They had been married for almost 36 years.

She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, and she devoted her life to the care and education of her family. She home schooled each of her eight children and faithfully attended to their needs.

Among the activities that occupied her time were making quilts for family members, orphans and wounded veterans. She was also passionate about filling shoeboxes at Christmastime for Operation Christmas Child, and was known to fill over a hundred each year. Her gifts reached children around the globe.
