June 1, 1964 - February 25, 2021
Leann was born in Mobile, Alabama and graduated from John S Shaw High School. She loved Alabama football (Roll Tide!) and living near the ocean. She enjoyed impromptu trips with no particular destination and vacations at the beach collecting shells and watching the waves. She lived in many cities and in various states before spending the last several years in Montgomery, Alabama, in her dream home that she filled with mementos from friends and family along with her carefully selected antiques and collectables. She loved to spend a day perusing thrift and antique stores, carefully selecting the perfect new addition to her home. She decorated her craft room, where she spent time making quilts for loved ones, with cherished strawberry themed collectables. Leann enjoyed spending time on her front porch and in her yard, reading or chatting with friends and family. She was an excellent conversationalist, able to engage with nearly anyone she met.
Leann is preceded in death by her mother Susan Spurlock, father Marshall Spurlock, sister Keleah, and by her first husband and father of her children, Steve Sutton.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and family - her children Amanda and Andrew Sutton, daughters-in-law Alicia and Ashley, grandchildren Amelia and Steven, sisters Leslie and Cathy, brother Todd, her loving companion and caretaker Tim Pepping, stepson Miles, and her exceptionally well cared for plants.
Memorial will be online, date and time to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the MS Foundation.
