Mrs. Toomey was my Geometry & Trigonometry teacher at East Syracuse Minoa Highschool in '85 & '86.
She was very good at helping us understand those difficult subjects, especially me, who is not naturally inclined towards mathematics.
If it wasn't for her, I would not have received my Regents Diploma from the State of New York.
But I was not alone, she guided many of us to this special honor, & for this, we are very grateful...

P.S. On the Day of the Space Shuttle Challenger explosion, I went to her for confirmation of this tragedy when another student said it happened. She calmly took me aside, & with sad eyes, broke the news to me gently.
She had a way to handle tough situations gracefully.

Lee was one of the first teachers I met when I began teaching in 1966 in the East Syracuse-Minoa School District. We taught together until I retired in 1997. It is difficult to imagine her no longer with us. My condolences to her husband.

Lenore or as I knew her then as Mrs. Toomey. She was my math teacher at East Syracuse Minoa High School for 2 years from 1993-1994. She was one of my favorite teachers and could always read me like a book and when I had a question. She was one of my most favorite teachers and I always LOVED her class because of the energy she had.  I still remember her counting down her years to retirement. I think it was about 2 years left when I had her. You will be truly missed.

Met Lee And Don in the 60’s when my ex-husband started teaching at Minoa Ninth. So much fun to be around. I thought I had recently found her on Facebook but said she was in Arizona. Heaven is going to be a happier place with Lee❤️

I remember Miss Nosal when she began teaching at East Syracuse Minoa High School, where I was a student. Her husband Don and she were both teachers and soon fell in love and married. We students thought that was very cool! Don taught high level math classes and when we would stay after and struggle with that, Mrs. Toomey would come in and encourage us, and make us suffer less, lol. She is such a lovely, gracious person and I remember her with great respect and love. So sorry for your loss - she had a wonderful positive impact on everyone blessed to know her on this earth!
