Still missing my Daddy after all these years. Many things I remember about him, but so just stay with me.
I remember him coming home after a long day at work, setting down, sipping on his hot cup of tea.
And, I remember him mowing grass with a motor less push lawnmower that he kept oiled and sharpened, regularly, during summer.
I remember all the vehicles he worked on so that he could drive instead of walking to work. And the vehicles he helped work on for friends.
And, all the bicycles he would fix after we, the brat kids, would demolished them. He had so many parts it was a collection for him..lol
I can still remember Mommy saying, "Just wait till your dad gets home, he will get a switch.. ouch.. but the moment he got home, even though we were scared, we all came near to him. Some close, while others would stay far away..lol
Now Daddy, even though you won't be there for us to see, you are always in our memories.
Hopefully within the next month I'll be living on the same property our old house was on. I'm so excited Daddy. It's always been my dream.
I LOVE YOU DADDY.. FOREVER AND FOR ALWAYS.. MY HERO.. HAPPY HEAVENLY BIRTHDAY!

Daddy was always a quiet man. For him to talk was seldom. He was a good father and a good provider for us kids. He was also there to correct us when he knew we were doing something wrong. He was always there to love us when we needed him most.
My memories of my daddy. He was always making sure we had things to do when were wete growing up. He had a cellar under the house full of bicycle parts and bikes to fix up for us kids. He was always down there when we needed him to fix a popped chain, a broken brake, or just a seat adjustment. He was awake every morning to make sure we were up and getting ready for school. I remember waking up every morning in the summers. Going out the front porch. Sitting beside him as he drank his tea. Daddys main beverage. He always set out there with a tea cup in his hand. I remember the hugs id get from him. Whether he wanted them or not. I also remembered when we had something wrong. That we would get a whippin with a switch from the lilac bush he had planted or his belt.
I think I am alot like my daddy. I am for the most part laid back and quiet like him. I also am like him in the sense that I never say nothing to noone about things until youve had enough of the same situations. At the point he would blow up. I think i look like my daddy. I am so glad to have had a father like him. I am glad to say I am alot like him. I love you Daddy and I miss you so much. Thank you for being such a great role model to us kids. Thank you for teaching us all you have. Your Loving Daughter, Lisa

My daddy was a wonderful man. He provided for his family, no matter how he felt. On payday he always brought the money home to momma, to pay the bills 1st, then buy groceries. Most of the time he didnt have a vehicle, so he would walk to and from work, unless someone he knew would stop to pick him up. Thank you, to those who helped him when he needed help.
My fondest memories are the ones that make me miss him so much. I remember him coming home to get a nice cup of tea, and sit on the porch to sip it, till he was ready to do things he needed to do around the house. Maybe one day he may fix a mower to cut the lawn, or work in the garden, that he had planted earlier in the year. On the times he did have a vehicle he may have been working on it, and many times I was right there with him.
He wasnt much on showing affection, and he didnt much say, I love you, but we knew just from how he took care of us, no matter what else he may have wanted or needed to do, that that was the love that stayed forever, and the love we would always remember.
I am remembering you today, as always daddy, because you are always in my heart and in my thoughts.

Love you always~
