His Life
April 19, 2021
It was a special Sunday, 29th August, 1999 when a baby boy named Leroy Bruno was born in New Providence, The Bahamas.  He was born under the loving gaze of his mother Nathalie Bruno and his father was Garry Saint-Fleurs.

As he grew Leroy attended Stephen Dillet Primary, followed by A.F. Adderley Junior High and finally Government High School (GHS) from which he graduated in 2016.  Leroy pursued additional education opportunities after graduation at Southam College and then the Bahamas Institute of Business & Technology.  For the last several years Leroy worked with a team he loved working with doing Window Cleaning services primarily at BahaMar.

Anyone and everyone who met Leroy couldn’t help but be impressed by his quiet, humble and respectful demeanor.  His mother raised him to be respectful and to keep to himself, but the gentleness, kindness and loving affection that he radiated poured out from deep inside.  Leroy adored his family.  If ever there lived a “Mama’s Boy” that was Leroy.  He was extremely affectionate with her, protective of her and attentive to her needs.  Leroy had a deep love for his younger brother Tyla and they spent endless hours together at home bonding, playing video games and rowing each other.  That loving affection extended to so many other family members including his Grand Father, Step Father, Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

Whether it was the with the teachers and administrators at his schools, his classmates, workmates, neighbors, and even with those he played many hours of basketball with, Leroy was the type of young man everyone wished the young men in their life could be like.

A major contributing factor to Leroy’s exemplary personality and attitude was his personal spirituality.  Leroy grew up attending the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and as he matured what he learned sank into his heart.  With much time spent reading and studying the bible as well as attending meetings he made the determination to dedicate his life to Jehovah and be baptized, which he did on 25th March, 2018.  His love for Jehovah, his spiritual brothers and sisters and for people in general moved him to actively preach and teach others about bible truths and the hope for the future.

On Saturday 10th April, 2021 while on a weekend getaway on Eleuthera, Leroy had a tragic accident and passed away.
