Linda and the boys
My kids loved being around Grandma. Even though she was in poor health for most of their young lives, she enjoyed visits to Logan every summer that she was able. We also spent several memorable Christmases in San Diego with Kirk and his family, and those memories will always be with us.
The kids loved Linda's stories. She would tell hilarious tales of her early days with the Ropers, such as when Butch fell asleep in church and she unstrung her pearls and dropped them in his ear (and then later took him to the emergency room to get them removed). And the one where she conned Dix into dropping a $100 bill into the church offering plate. And so many other ones of Brett and Kirk's mishaps and adventures as kids, usually with one of them breaking bones or ending up in the hospital. Kellen and Heath would beg to hear them again and again, and she would never tire of retelling.
The kids also spent counless hours playing games with Grandma - Skipbo was a favorite of Linda's and anyone who kenw her well became very good at this game. But she was always up to learn any game that the kids brought out of the closet.
Other great memories with the boys were times spent on the beach - whether the shores of Bear Lake in Utah or in San Diego. Linda loved time in the sun watching them play in the sand and water.
We miss you Linda every day! But we are so thankful for these wonderful memories and for the time we had and for your love which will be with us always.
