My partner Mike and I met Linda on a flight from Tucson to Portland probably 15 years ago. We had a layover in Vegas and the 3 of us nearly missed our flight because we were playing the slots in the airport. Linda sat next to me on the flight to Portland. We became fast friends as we lived in her Heatherwood Hills neighborhood. We took countless trips to Nogales together stopping at the casino on the way home. We always had so much fun together. We moved back to Palm Springs several years ago and exchanged holiday cards for a few years, then, as it often happens, life got in the way and we lost touch. So sorry to hear of her passing. She was a wonderful lady in every sense of the word.
Dear Linda, it is hard to believe you have been gone 5 years already. I sure do miss you. we didn't always get along but you were a very special aunt. I am sure you and Dad are having a great time together. Love you and miss you.
Thinking of Aunt Linda today because 16 years ago on this date our daughter got married and Aunt Linda and Uncle Warren were both with us to celebrate this wonderful day! During the reception we announced Linda's birthday and everyone present sang Happy Birthday to her!! We were so blessed to have Linda and Warren there! We miss them both. Happy Birthday Aunt Linda!!
Linda, it is hard to believe that it has been a year already. We sure do miss you. I am sure that you are having a great time!!!! I will always love you and miss you.
Linda was always the life of the party. We became friends during her tenure as lead litigation paralegal at Holland Hart. I have so many memories of those old days in Vail. Trips to Mexico were filled with many good times. She is missed! love, Melinda
"Linda: Guthries and Ropers first met at Fort Gulick, CZ, Panama in about 1966. We were together again at Fort Benning in '68-'69, and yet again at West Point in the early 70's. What a thrill to reunite with you in Mazatlan in about 2008. You were always the energetic, hip, cool, good-looker with a huge heart. You'll be sorely missed, dear. Linda, I met you when we were 17 or 18 years old! So young! I will always remember the good times working, eating and playing at the Roper Ranch in Sutherlin. We had a special connection, in that we were both married to those crazy Roper brothers! It was a fun time, indeed. We were very lucky to have such a wonderful family...we still are very lucky!! It has been great talking to you through the years. You have always been a lovely, charming person and a good friend to me. See you later.....
I remember you when you were 16 and 17 in sunny Santa Monica. You were beautiful, exotic, fun, outrageous, and full of life and love. Your light continued to expand and I remember you again in Mission Viejo now a wonderful loving mother and with your spirit shining with laughter, and joy and love of life. You brought great FUN and wonderful memories into my life and I hope we meet again on the other side to laugh together again. Dix
