The daughter of the late Leroy Feggins and Flora M. Feggins Williams, Mrs. Owens was born in Jernigan, AL and was a devout member of New Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she had worshipped for over 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elijah S. Owens, and two brothers, Willie Feggins, Sr. and Dan Feggins. Surviving her departure with cherished memories, include: three daughters, Flora F. Peterson of Jacksonville, FL, Mary D. Farley, and Mary N. Powell, both of Columbus, GA; a son, Wendell D. Owens (Judith) of Columbus, GA; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three nieces, four nephews, a host of other family, loved ones and friends.
