Her Life

Loretta

January 30, 2011

Loretta grew up on a farm in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She came out to California in the 1950's and lived in Santa Monica. She loved the boating lifestyle and enjoyed "The California beach scene". Newport Beach became Loretta's permanent home in the 1960's, with her husband Emil, running a successful apartment rental business and enjoying life to it's fullest. There were frequent Catalina sailing trips and amazing world vacations. Rare vacation locales such as Cuba, Midway Island, China, Russia and Australia were visited. The Hawaiian Islands were probably the favorite destination of Emil and Loretta, making the trip dozens of times. Enjoying her grandchildren and Chinese brush painting were her favorite hobbies in recent years. She also played the ukulele.
