Louise (Prather) McGhee was born November 15, 1935 to the late Deacon Idus (Buddy) and Jennie Lee Prather in Meriwether County Georgia. God called His child home early on the morning of September 29, 2012 at West Georgia Medical Center, LaGrange, Georgia.

Louise accepted Christ in her life. She joined and was baptized at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church in Greenville, Georgia. Later in life she joined True Worship Baptist Church in LaGrange, Georgia. Louise was a founding board member and a great mother of the church. She served faithfully until death.

In September 1966, Louise was joined Holy Matrimony to the late Willie McGhee, Jr. Unto this union they were blessed with one daughter.

She leaves her cherished memories to a loving daughter, Evangelist Idus Joyce & (Pastor Willie Lee) Hutchinson of LaGrange, GA; one brother, Mr. George (Virginia) Prather of Woodbury, GA; two aunts, Mrs. Catherine Gates and Mrs. Lillian Rosser; one uncle, Mr. Alonzo Prather, all of Hogansville, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
