Her Life
April 3, 2013

Lynn was born Lynn Harris on September 8, 1952, in Oxford, Oxfordshire England. Lynn was an exceptionally dedicated and loved spouse, daughter, sister, mother and friend to us all. Lynn studied at Princess Mary’s Royal Air Force and was stationed on the small island of Cyprus where she had extraordinary experiences and fond memories as a Royal Air Force nurse.

On May 22, 1976, Lynn married Ken E. Oshel, a young American Air Force pilot, in one of the first churches built in Alva, OK; an Episcopal church where their daughters were later christened, three girls she loved unconditionally and dedicated the rest of her life to.

Lynn was the most kind, considerate, and fun loving person who proved to be very courageous as well. Lynn had a beautiful presence, a contagious laugh, and a smile that could light up any room. Lynn gave everything of herself to those she loved and was an exceptionally dedicated and loving spouse, mother and grandmother who always put the needs of others before her own.

Lynn had fond memories of her times spent at the seaside in England and Cyprus. Lynn loved a peaceful moment in her lovely garden, reading a good book amongst the spring time blooms and spending time with her beautiful Boxer, JoJo.

Lynn fought a long, courageous battle; exceptionally full of reverence for those she held dear, against multiple forms of leukemia. It was only here, the battle she faced has been lost. Those who love Lynn can find solace that she surely reached the gates of Heaven with all the comfort, JOY and LOVE she gave to all of us. May she forever bask peacefully in the light of our Father’s GRACE until it’s our time to greet our Lynn forevermore

The family has set up a memorial fund in lieu of cards, gifts, and flowers to assist with burial expense. A secure link can be found on Lynn’s face book memorial page.  Thank you for all the heartfelt compassionate words, prayers, and thoughts and at deeply saddening time for all those who held Lynn dear.

Flowers are appreciated for the memorial and can be sent to Berardinelli Family Funeral Home, Santa Fe, NM 87505.

Thank you.
