Mae Pearl Hawk, 69, died on July 30, 2020 at San Antonio Regional Hospital in Upland CA
A graveside memorial service will be performed at at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier CA at 1 pm on August 19, 2020.
Mae was born September 27, 1950 in Orange CA to SoShew Jew and Claire Sundin Yee. Her father was born in China and her mother was born in New York.
Mae attended Whittier College, Pepperdine University and Claremont Graduate School.
Mae married her husband, Verner D Hawk, at Knott's Berry Farm's Church of the Reflections in Buena Park CA on October 25th 1998. The couple have lived in Rancho Cucamonga since January 2000.
Mae retire from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in La Canada Flintridge where she worked in Human Resources.
Mae was a General Class Amateur Radio Operator and was an active member of the Rancho Cucamonga/Upland Auxiliary Communications Service (ACS), and the San Bernardino County Fire Department, Office of Emergency Services, Emergemcy Communications Service (ECS). She was also a member of the PAPA System.
Mae's other interests included making crafts which she then sold at craft shows and reading. She was an avid Parry Potter fan.
Mae is survived by her husband, Verner Hawk; her sister, Joyce Witten: and her nieces, Joleen Jones and Melinda Williams.
