Granny Mami Mami Mami

Grandma, You may be gone but you have left a great legacy for us. You mentored me in a short while and sowed in me the seed of greatness. Thank you for your sacrificial life.

It is difficult for me to come to terms with the fact that you are gone. You practically reproduced your life in my wife.

Death is sudden and final but you lived beyond yourself. You have invested a lot in each and every one of us and changed our lives no matter the short time spent with you . Thank you for all you did for us.

Rest on Mami Esther in the house of your Maker.

Mami Es..Mamiii.. Just like that???!!!It's just hard writing this mami..!!Gutted to think I will never see you again when I call over the phone or even hear your voice again!!

"I no d see your face" you would tell me!!
"My pikin na which kind tin that for your face.. shave that biabia for your mut!!" you would scream at me at other times! Or our negotiations over the number of bundles of achu I would receive from you before I followed you to the farm which usually I often regretted after I had ate all my achu and now had to carry those heavy cassava bags on my head and trek back home!!

Mami you were the best, funny, witty, chatty, compassionate. You did your best and for that you would be rewarded mightily by our father in heaven. I miss you, will miss you. Love you bunches.. Rest well sweet heart.
