Still trying to get use to the idea of not seeing such a beautiful lady sister Marcia until the coming of our Lord. I was blessed to have known her over the years and her wonderful family who I view as my family also. Missing her contagious smile and laughter, her joking around with my girls especially Vikisha who she calls her little chicken . Will keep all the cherished memories and remember those beautiful songs sang at church and together in our choir. Forever missed but not forgotten may her soul rest in peace. Keep strong family God will hold your hands and comfort you all throughout life’s journey. Love to you all .

Sapphire a very dear freind/daughter to me often spoke of her mother in law and always said how we were so much a like especially because we shared the same birthday 24th May. I only spoke to Marcia once and we connected instantly by laughing and joking. I do remember at the end of the conversation that she said she really hopes to meet one day. My dear we never got to meet in the flesh but I can guarantee that we will meet at the gates of heaven where we will live in Peace and Harmony. Sleep well my sistren until we meet.

Sis Marcis was one of the most remarkable woman I have ever met. Her relationship with our Saviour, and her strength of character enabled her to go through her illness without complaining.  Her children and grandchildren ,mother, husband and every member of her family have been blessed by the life of this virtuous woman. Her life has touched those who have come in contact with her.
I look forward to meeting this BEAUTIFUL ROSE in the New Jerusalem. May her soul rest in peace.

As a church sister Marcia was a very lovable person who loved to sing and interact with church members. She was also very dedicated to her children. She fought her illness with every fibre of her being.

Marcia was a also dedicated care worker who took her work seriously. Despite her illness she would still go to work when she could. Her service users were pleased with her and often complimented her to me when I would call to check on their care. Marcia will be remembered as a much loved church sister and a dedicated staff member of Amco Care Services.

Dear namesake, if only I could tell you face to face how much I miss you. Your wicked sense of humour, your infectious smile ( can't remember ever seen you frowned), your encouraging and non-judgemental words and your warm personality. You were a strong woman of faith and substance and a phenomenon who loved the Lord,
your family and your friends.

I remember when I first met you in church, we instantly gelled because we found out that we were from the same parish in Jamaica and had many things in common, including our love for singing and cooking. Girl you had impeccable culinary skills which would give any Master Chef a run for his money. You possessed the art of saying what was on your mind, even if it hurts, but you would always have the perpetrators eating out of your hand in no time. You were loved by many at all age range.

Our time of ministering at Tottenham SDA, in the Chorale and in our then group, Sisters of Faith, was amazing. Although you were the baby in the group, you were the one who constantly kept us sane and resilient, with all that energy and drive you possessed. You were a sister and a friend to me and a rock to my family and I will always remember those moments we shared, until eternity.

Marcia, it is an honour to have met you and your beautiful family and your legacy will live on in the great men and grandchildren you produced. You have impacted my life in a positive way and I will always cherish those memories. Sleep on my friend and take your rest, until we meet again.

Dear Marcia, What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget, to me and my family you are " THE BEST OF THE BEST"

I've said several times, to Kenroy and others, that Aunty Marcia lives on as far as her impact and legacy is concerned. We're heartbroken because new memories may not be formed in this life, that she's no longer with us to share more moments of joy and wisdom with us. This is a difficult loss to deal with but I'm sending strength and support from Hong Kong. I miss her dearly.

It's hard to believe that you're actually gone. Your life, your humour, your laugh more than infectious it was hard to be around you and be in a bad mood. You had 3 boys just like my mum, I guess that's one of the reasons why you two became so close, trading war stories about us or was it your love for cooking or for finding a bargain ; ) . The strength that you have shown over the years will forever be an inspiration to me and my family, you will be sorely missed but never ever forgotten ❤❤❤

Mum you have left me with teary eyes and a heavy heart. You were such a wonderful Nanny to Jamal and for this I will forever remember you. You played a major role in JAMAL’s life, although you were going through your trials and tribulations you never said no to me if I ask your help with Jamal, you were also a listening ear to me for which I will forever be grateful. Thanks for the prayers during my difficult times. You were like a ray of sunshine on my cloudy days. You always had a positive outlook on my life and I admired your strength and determination. You left a void in our life no one will ever replace. We will miss you dearly MUM. As Jamal said Nanny is not dead she is just sleeping, continue to watch over us and guide us in the right direction. SLEEP WELL MUM.

To my wonderful Mother-inlaw, Marcia Gayle
you gained your wings to be with your maker, we will miss you dearly. You are the true example of a queen, loyal and understanding. Only this time last year we was planning for my wedding in which you played a vital part with your amazing cooking skills. I promise to love and protect your son, Kevoy Malcolm (a.k.a Ricky) I wouldn't of chosen any other mother-inlaw to have. Your legacy will live on ❤❤
Rest easy mummy

Mum Thursday when you left us it created a void in our hearts that is irreplaceable but your love, faith in God and strength gives us the strength to carry on. Your legacy left behind as a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunty and friend is a testament to the wonderful woman of God you are. You taught us even as small as Laila and Laike (granddaughters under 2 years old) what it means to trust God, have faith, worship intentionally and make our walk with God personal and real. You are beautiful both inside and out and your skin care regimen has often been a hot topic, but you say its just soap and water. So blessed. Countless times you have advised, counselled, guided me and not to mention thought me how to cook, improve my fashion sense and even been my personal shopper and how to be resourceful and get good quality items at the right price, bargain hunter ! Mum tears are a language that God understands and bucket loads are flooding our cheeks just for you. But even though we cry we pick ourselves up, anchor our faith in Jesus and live in the hope that one faithful day we will be reunited and we rejoice knowing you are no longer in any pain or discomfort. Rest on peacefully until that great getting up morning when I know you will be wearing your white robe and crown. We love you.

To Raymond, Kenroy, Sapphire, Ricky, Glenrick, Grandmother and the rest of the family, I just want to say my heart goes out to you at this time of grief at the passing of Marcia we all loved. Marcia was more than a friend. She was family. You have all been family. We will miss her dearly. I will miss her encouragements. I admire her devotion to her family, her determination to serve God in spite of her pain and her battles, and her faith in God. Sadly, been so far away, I didn't get to see her before she left us. But let's take heart. We look forward to seeing her again one day in heaven by God's grace.
When shadows deepen and our heart bleed, we will not question the way He leads. This side of heaven we know in part. We will not question a broken heart. Please trust His leadings, He'll never fail, through darkest tunnels and misty vale. Obey His bidding and faithful be though only one step ahead you see. Just hide your heartache behind a smile, and wait for reasons till after while. And though He tries you, you will find, that all your burdens are silver lined.
May God continue to strengthen all of you.

There are very few people in life whose impact will be longlasting and inspiring, not for what they achieved, but simply for who they were. Our beloved sister, friend, colleague, mum, aunty, grandmother, will be one of those unforgettable persons.

In her short 47 years, she touched so many by her sheer determination to live a full life of service, duty, and ministry in spite of all the odds stacked up against her.
In her short years, she gave of everything that she was, everything she could, and everything she had.

To me, you were a friend, a sister, and a colleague - I shared the sad news of your passing with your colleagues at Alpha Gateway Colleague and the pain they felt is real. We were all in your corner - willing you to fight! to defeat this ailment! You fought! And now it is time for you to rest!
Rest my sister!
Good night!

Marcia was such a strong woman. Her conviction in the will of God in her life was clear by her outward confidence in her ability to trust in His word.

I will always hold dear the beautiful song she would sing as a trio with Sis Rawlings and Sapphire. Always sung with such a surety, and knowing Marcia’s personal testimony, it was clear that the Lord worked miracles in her life.

We were truly saddened to hear of Marcia’s passing, especially knowing that as a church family we prayed so earnestly for her recovery the night before.

I take this opportunity on behalf of my immediate and extended family to offer our sincere condolences to the family. I pray that God will provide the comfort and support that is so precious and needed for such a time as this.

We continue to pray for you all.
With love,
the Riley family.

Forever loved, forever in our hearts

Sis Marcia -  Blessing in a bundle.
The moments are many, the memories so strong. From the sound of her beautiful soprano voice enhancing the praises to God delivered in The TWGR Chorale or the melodious harmonies resonating throughout the sanctuary when she sang in Trio with Sis Saphire and Sis Sharon, or just her special laughter that could crack any icy situation, whether shopping, working or at play, or her effervescent personality, the moments are indelibly written on my heart.

We prayed, believing that God would heal her but never forgetting that He sees the first and the last. He allowed us to enjoy her company for nine years more. Though we mourn her loss and still have questions, we will continue to trust our God.

Rev.14:13, .......Blessed are the dead which die in The Lord from henceforth: yea saith The Spirit, that they may rest from their labours and their works do follow them.

Amen.
