As I drove home from work I kept thinking I hope you don't still want to go to the Billy Graham Crusade at the stadium downtown, but as I pulled into my driveway you were sitting on the porch waiting...You said to me " Are you ready to go?" I mumbled yeah, ok Mom let me get out of this uniform. We got in the car driving south missing the stadium exit and on our way to Delaware, when you spotted a church bus going the other way. You told me to make a u-turn and follow the bus because they had to be going to the crusade. They were. We parked and headed inside and went to a section that had some open seating only to find out that it was the spanish speaking area with headphones for translation. We sat and listened to the different speakers, you especially wanted to hear C. Everett Koop (surgeon general) After more than an hour you told me you were ready to go. I thought you meant home, but you meant down on the field, where an invitation to come and be saved had been issued. We went and this woman came towards you. After finding out that you both had very similar backgrounds she prayed with you. This was the day you chose to receive God's gift of salvation, and now we know that you are in heaven, with Jesus, in the mansion with many rooms that he promises to all who receive Him as their Lord and Savior. It is the best comfort for those of us who are left to miss you....
Love you Mom,
