When we were about 11 or 12, I found some pickled jalapeno peppers in the fridge, and I convinced Margaret that they were not hot.  (At least, not to me).
Well she took a bite and turned beet red and cried to Mom.  She could
never eat spicy food after that.  Of course, I was grounded for a week.

Margaret forgot all about it the next day and we were friends again.  Margaret was like that, slow to anger and quick to forgive.
