Kind, loving, patient and strong are only a few words that discribe my darling Aunt Peggy. So many of my most cherished memories are times that we spent together. The countless hours I spent with you at your salon, every single customer was your best friend. You had a way of making everyone feel so special (you got that from Grandma Francis).
You were the cool aunt when we went for drives and turned the radio up to "volume max" and sang along to Red Red Wine at the top of our lungs. You were the patient aunt when I felt lost and confused, you'd curl up next to me in my bed, tuck my hair behind my ear and give me advise that I continue to apply to my every day life. You were the strong aunt when you were diagnosed with cancer at 23 fought it and WON!
And a lot of the time you were the silly aunt like when we went for walks in "fart in the park" or when we would sit on the floor playing board games and it was Chris's turn you'd say "Chrisgo" (like crisco)
And of course, one of my favorite memories (it'll never get old). The time all of us went berry picking, we caught sight of a nice ripe bunch so Mike pulled over and Chris and I went to work gathering the best berries. I lost my footing and rolled down the mountain. As I lay there helpless, you yelled down to me with a concerned sound in your voice....
"Are the berries okay?!"
The rest of the drive home we all laughed til we cried and we still laughed about it throughout the years.
Oh Peggy, you are so precious. Such an amazing Mother, Wife, Daughter, Sister, Grandmother, and Friend. You will be missed dearly
Your memories will live on through the people you left behind when you were called back home. Til we meet again
P.S. I love you Mike, Chris, and Ian.
