Mark Allen Dalton I'm deeply saddened that my best friend is gone forever. Mark will forever be in my heart and my mind. We had a lot of great times together. The one that sticks out is recently when you came over just to check on me and give me a hug and a little pep talk.I could always count on him to be there to try and be the voice of reason. Mark never turned his back to anyone in need. He had a heart that just kept growing. We were supposed to go to Florida this coming month to see his best friend Clay Williams. Mark loved to go fishing and was constantly working on the equipment. He loved Heather with all his heart and Jackson and Chloe was like kids to him. I love you Mark ❤️ and I will celebrate your life from here until I am no longer. My family and friends will always know who Mark Dalton is. My friend, My brother, My family. Love Ya Bro. MAY YOUR SOUL REST IN PEACE

A Game of Toss

Mark's mother was my Aunt Mary.  She and my mother Doris, and our Aunt JoAnn were sisters and the best of friends.  They were always on the phone together.  Two would talk to each other then hang up so one could call the other and tell them everything that was just said.  This is how it worked since 3 way calling did not exist back then.

Somewhere around 1979 - 1980, I was 9 or 10 which put Mark at about 4 or 5.  I heard Mom on the phone talking to Aunt JoAnn because she had just hung up with Aunt Mary.

Doris said to JoAnn:

"I have to tell you the cutest story!  Mary said Mark was out in the front yard hollering "Mom come outside!  Mom come here!"  So Mary went out on the porch.  Mark said "Watch this Mom".  He then threw a ball up in the air.  It came back down and he said "SEE!"  Mary said "What am looking at Mark?"  and Mark said "Watch Mom, I'll do it again."  So he thew the ball back up and it came back down. Again he said "SEE!" Aunt Mary said "What is it Mark?  What am I seeing?"  Mark explained "See Mom, I thew the ball to Jesus and he threw it back."

I have always remembered that story.
