Mark is missed. He was my friend for over 25 years ( he said 30) we traveled Texas together. I really loved his story the Swineherd and brag about it to people. He always enjoyed a good road trip and really like to drive. He made me laugh and he helped me bottle feed 4 kittens and felt like they were his kids. I'm glad he is at peace now.

I remember Mark from our days at Oklahoma State University, where he earned his MA. He was one of the most interesting persons I have known. Intelligent, witty, unique, with a sense of humor that left a few people perplexed, so idiosyncratic and dry; but, for those who knew him appreciated his humor that was often self-derogatory -- but never at the cost to another person.

Becky, can't say that I knew Mark, but he is family and I want to express sympathy for your loss. Our dads were quite the clan: Steve, Barney, Donny, Nubs, Ralph, Bob, Larry. They did a fine job raising their families. I've heard that Mark had endured hardships. I'm sure his courage will live on to brighten the path for many others.

These pictures are wonderful--thanks for posting them! Uncle Mark had a wonderful grin. I remember goofy postcards he sent from Pennsylvania, and the crazy hair he had when I was a kid (80's). He always had a joke or something to say that would make you think. I am also grateful that he is free of his body, at peace. I look forward to reading Kafka's short stories and thinking of him.

We grew up in the same neighborhood, went to the same schools, he was my roomate for a year at SIU. I talked to him briefly when he was in Penn. He was one of the most interesting people I have known. He cared more than anything about doing the right thing. He will be missed.
