TIBUTE BY WIFE
TRIBUTE IN MEMORY OF THE LATE MARTIN ATIEKU – BY WIFE
,,Then I heard a voice from Heaven saying to me ‘ write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on ‘Yes’ says the Spirit ‘’ they will rest from their labour for their deeds shall follow them’. Revelations 14:13.
It is with a heavy heart that I pay this tribute to the memory of my dear husband Martin Atieku, who I count myself privileged to have been married to.
I have indeed been traumatized by your sudden death and I’m yet to come to terms that, you no longer belong here. It’s been over 32 years since our love for each other crystallized into marriage and through divine providence had been blessed with three children.
Sela our first son, who didn’t know that God had called you home, on the eve of their military passing out asked ‘where is daddy to see me pass out and share the joy with me?’ I could not give any response.
The date 29th September 2015 will forever be etched in our memory.
Brother, as I affectionately call you. on retirement a little over a year ago. You shared with me some of your investment plans which included the borehole which is already in operation.
We always share the plan we have for our children, grandchildren and the extended family.
Today, you’ve left me alone to soldier on, but with God on our side, the children and I will succeed.
I take consolidation in the scripture which says, And fear not them who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul, but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell’’. Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your father’s consent. Matthew 10:28-29.
With these I say fare thee well, my dear. Fare thee well till we meet again. Yaawo ojogbaȠ Ƞ
