One year ago this lovely lady left us to join her husband in heaven. Even though she has left this world, she is always in our hearts and minds, loved and cherished forever.

Mary Alice was placed with her husband at the Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent,Washington today. The family chose this day because its their father's birthday. Mary Alice and John are now together forever. 'TOGETHER FOREVER' is inscribed on the new niche faceplate.

We paid our respects to Grandfather Earl and Grandmother Mary at Calvary Cemetery yesterday, as well as Great-Grandparents Ganz. It was raining and hailing the day before, but sunny with blue sky during our visit.

My favorite book written by Mary Alice is "Grey Wolf" - it was her first book and although she finished it back in the '80's, she continued to tweak it for years. It's an Indian story - wonderful love story, wonderful story about an Indian tribe - set in either North Dakota or Montana, I think. It's a large book, over 100,000 words. It should all be on 3-1/2" disks.

So far Angela has found seven titles. She is still working on identifying which title is complete or not, and which revision file(s) goes with which title and chapter.

Mary Alice and I met in a writing class in 1983. From there we ended up in a writing critique group together for 13 years. One word describes her: persistance! She never, never gave up on what she loved to do. And she became an exceptional fiction writer. We talked on the phone nearly weekly. She was a loyal, fun and faithful friend. I loved her and will miss her forever.

Mary Alice was a true friend and a wonderful storyteller. She taught me to write in Word Perfect when it was still a DOS program. LOL. She loved writing Historical Romance novels and finished 3 or 4, I believe. Though we hadn't been close in location for several years, we have remained close in heart. I will miss her every day. Thank you for being my friend, Mary Alice.

Happy birthday mom. I think your birthday present is being together with dad again after all these years. You must be having a huge birthday party with your sister, mother, father, aunties, uncles, in-laws ... Love you and miss you lots here.

My Mom was a gentle and loving women. She worked out of the home most of my childhood because she wanted to be home when we were. I have spent all my life trying to follow in her footsteps and make her proud of me. I will miss talking to her everyday. You will alway be in my heart and thoughts. I will love you and miss you daily. RIP Mom.

She showed me that love and empathy are good qualities to have. She wanted us to be educated and well read as it would make us better people. She loved Dad very much and gave me the example of how a marriage should work. She loved my family and we all loved her. I will miss her very much but it was time for her to be with Dad. As her oldest son, I will miss her daily and love her forever.
