Mum was born in Wigan in 1932 to John and Mary Barker, she was one of eight children she had 3 Sisters Jean, Rose and Sandra and 4 Brothers Jackie, Brian, Tommy, and Samuel who sadly died as a child.
Mum then moved to Rainford where she went to Bushey Lane school and spent her childhood years and went on to work in various places including Fosters Woodworks which she often talked about. It was here where she met her first love John Helsby who she married years later and went on to have Two Daughters Susan and Judith.
Mums life changed when Dad passed at the age of 41, she loved him dearly and never remarried.Mum got over this and lived her life the best she could, she used to love a good sing song. Mum had Two Grandsons who she loved dearly and 4Great Grandchildren who she loved the same.
Sadly mum died suddenly on 4th May 2015.
this has left a massive hole in our lives that will never be filled and not a day goes by that i dont think about her.
Although i know shes with me and looks after me, she lives on forever in my heart and it gives me comfort to know she is beside me. Always.
