Mamao was an extraordinary person whose life was worthy of emulation and celebration.
I only met her a couple of times but she made a lasting impression on me. Her words of wisdom were impeccable and worthy to be emulated. She lived a Christlike life and dealt with her challenges with faith and joy knowing that God always took great care of her. It would be hard to find a person that can bear her cross the way she did.
We will miss you so much Mamao!
Rest in perfect peace in the bossom of our Lord until we meet again!

Mamao! as she is fondly called is a one-of-a-kind individual that deserves to be celebrated and honored.
I met her for the first time in 1985 in Adazi Nnukwu during a party organized by my bossom friend and her youngest son, Cosmas Nnabueze Oguejiofor.
When I arrived for the party, all dressed up, I went to introduce myself to her and say hello. After the pleasantries, she looked up at me, smiled and said "Nnaa, do you work for Michael Jackson?". This question caught me off guard and was in reference to my jacket which looked like the Michael Jackson jacket in the Thriller video.
Her question made me laugh so hard and I appreciated her humor and sense of it.
She was a disciplinarian whose tough love helped all her children to become better people today.
Her character and positive attitude are attributes that are worthy of emulation and It is really hard to find a person that could go through her circumstances with such grace, dignity and happiness.
We will miss you so much Mamao!
Rest in perfect peace !

Mama Osy as she was popularly known was a symbol of contentment and simplicity. From the time we were young children and visited Adazi often, she always welcomed us with a warm smile. Over the years, she constantly gave us advice about being prayerful and trusting in the lord. She has fulfilled her destiny and gone on to be with the lord. May he grant her eternal rest and peace.

Tribute to my Beloved Aunty.                Mama Osy, your death was a shock to me. All the same, to God be the glory. We take solace on the fact that you lived an examplary Christian life. You were an epitome of humility, patience and generosity. Despite your health challenges you were always cheerful and happy.
Yours faith and absolute surrender to God's will really are virtues worthy of emulation.                               I cherish so much the time spent with you. I remember your stories of past events which are so captivating and most of which I did not even know before. Your advice after my husband's death has been wonderful and has helped me a lot. Prayer has always been your bedrock and you always emphasis on it's importance just like your father-my grandfather-Francis Umeh of the blessed memory.                Sleep on wonderful mother on a blissful and heavenly bed prepared only for saints. You have fought a good fight, you have run the race and kept the faith. And now we pray that there is waiting for you that crown of glory which the Lord will give to those who wait on him with love. 'Je nke Oma' I do and will always miss you my Beloved Aunty.              Barr. Mrs. Joan Mbonu (nee Ezekwe)

Mamao was a mother par excellence. In spite of her ailment which manifested over three decades ago,she continued showering motherly love to all that came in close contact with her.
Her stoicism in the face of agonizing pain is unparalleled.I observed as a young man paying frequent visits to her home, how anxious she wanted to ensure all visitors were fed well which often made them to lose sight of what she was going through.
She will forever be remembered for her kindness, generosity, humility,Perseverance and exemplary christain life .

Mamao, knowing you for over three decades was, for me, a God-given opportunity to learn one or two valuable life lessons. The equanimity with which you accepted your health challenges was exceptional. Thank you for all the lives you touched in one way or another. May God reward you with the perfect rest you deserve and comfort all your loved ones. Amen.

Thank you Grandma for all the prayers and songs you taught me as a child. You always encouraged me to focus on Christ and follow the righteous path.
I thank God for providing me with the opportunity to listen to your teachings, wise words, stories and life lessons.
I remember grandpa’s last days and how both you and grandpa constantly prayed and sang together. That inspired me so much and taught me to keep pushing even in times of difficulty.
I Love you so much Grandma and I miss you but I’m happy you and Grandpa are together with Mary our Mother praying and interceding for Us.
Thank you so much.........

Mamao was more than a grandmother to me, she was my rock. She moulded me into the woman I am today, she gave me the best pep talks ever, she helped me build my confidence. I remember when I was much younger she would make everyone around dance around me and I would be sitting on a special stool she called it “my queen’s stool”. She made me feel on top of the world. She made me feel special like I was specially created by God for her. I was always so happy to be around her because of the way she made me feel. This is a painful loss and she would be dearly missed but I believe so much in God has a reason for everything so I find solace in that. I believe you are resting in the bosom of the Lord. Rest on Mamao.
Love,
Your Queen.

Mama Osy, you were a rock on which the solid Oguejiofor foundation was built.
You kept everything simple and above all taught us all humility and how to practice it. No problem was too big and you always said that with prayers, everything will be alright.
Yes, everything will be alright. We thank you and we will miss you.
