Her Life
December 19, 2017

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven: A time to be born and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted.

Eccelesiates 3: 1-2

Miss Mary Lue Wilburn, the second daughter of five children, was born to the parentage of

late Joe Clark Wilburn and the late Mamie Lee Ransom Wilburn in Troup County, GA on November 16, 1932.

At an early age, Mary accepted Christ as her personal savior and united with the Roe’s Chapel United Methodist Church, where she remained a faithful member until her death on Wednesday, December 13, 2017.

Mary had a strong love for the city of West Point, Georgia and the Drummond Community. She enjoyed visiting the West Point Senior Citizen Center and playing BINGO with her friends. She had a sincere love for crossing the Chattahoochee River to visit with her family over in Alabama.

Mary was preceded in death by a son, Jerome Wilburn; two brothers, Irvin Heard and Clarence Wilburn; four sisters, Josephine Wilburn, Mamie Clark Wilburn, Emma Lou Murphy and Elnora Carrecter.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: three loving grandchildren, Theron Wilburn, Nicholas Wilburn and Jerome Wilburn, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Norma Wilburn; great grandchildren, TyShawn Wilburn, Daevon Wilburn, K J’auna Wilburn and JaiShun Wilburn; two special nieces, Naomi Sibert and Helen Stokes; two devoted friends, Rosie Holmes and Juanita Brook; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
