It’s been four years gone since you flew away
I felt lost, sleepy, shocked and weepy,
So I went to your favourite place, Jacksons Bay.
I wrote your name in the golden sand,
The wind was blowing, like the day you left
I let your ashes scatter from the palm of my hand.
Sitting on your favourite rock I felt you near
Pictured you smiling and singing like you did that last visit,
Bleating out “A song for Mamma”
Which made me shed many a hot tear.
When I got home I sat in the garden, noticed four Lily’s named Mat
Given by your Aunty Kate and Four Tiger Lily’s given by your mate
Have just come into bloom, how uncanny is that?
Seren Rose is your biggest blossom, so beautiful and bright
She too is four this year, she reminds me that life carries on
And no matter how low I may feel, to never give up the fight.
I will always miss you, how could I not? You meant the world to me,
You were kind, loving, funny, intelligent, talented and handsome
A true beauty whom I loved very much, and now your Spirit fly’s free.
How grateful I am to have known and be blessed by your love
An Angel watching over us you are now,
Residing in the bliss of the Kingdom known as the Heavens above.
