I often said I wanted to be Maurine Noble when I grew up. She embodied grace, class, compassion, perseverance, and smiles. I will forever be grateful for her patience and encouragement toward my machine quilting efforts. If not for her encouragement, I may have never cut into Elin's fabric and thread. "Use it! What are you waiting for?"
Elin, Steve and I see you so fully in the photographs of your Mom. She appears vibrant and bold and generous -- in her work and in her spirit. Her legacy remains: through her work, and in you. Love, Cathie and Steve
It's with great sorrow that I receive this news. Maurine was a part of a wonderful and loving family and I am so grateful for all the years that I was even a peripheral member. I just remember the first time I was welcomed into Ed and Maurine's home and knew that I had friends for life. My thoughts and love are with you. Love Mary Alegre
Maurine was my guide, a mentor and just a wonderful woman with a great family beside her. I will miss her so much - and her wisdom. My love to you, Elin and Ed and your families.
Oh, Maurine, how I will miss you and will always be grateful for all the lessons you taught me, both in quilting and in courage. Be at peace, my friend.
