Such a beautiful lady! I am so honored to have met her and spend time with her at QBL. Elin, I am so sorry. Her spirit will remain with us all.

I often said I wanted to be Maurine Noble when I grew up. She embodied grace, class, compassion, perseverance, and smiles. I will forever be grateful for her patience and encouragement toward my machine quilting efforts. If not for her encouragement, I may have never cut into Elin's fabric and thread. "Use it! What are you waiting for?"

Elin,
Steve and I see you so fully in the photographs of your Mom. She appears vibrant and bold and generous -- in her work and in her spirit. Her legacy remains: through her work, and in you. Love, Cathie and Steve

You'll be dearly missed, Maurine. Hugs to you and your family, Elin. We've lost one of the most generous, kind-hearted people I've ever known.

It's with great sorrow that I receive this news. Maurine was a part of a wonderful and loving family and I am so grateful for all the years that I was even a peripheral member. I just remember the first time I was welcomed into Ed and Maurine's home and knew that I had friends for life. My thoughts and love are with you. Love Mary Alegre

Maurine was my guide, a mentor and just a wonderful woman with a great family beside her. I will miss her so much - and her wisdom. My love to you, Elin and Ed and your families.

Oh, Maurine, how I will miss you and will always be grateful for all the lessons you taught me, both in quilting and in courage. Be at peace, my friend.

My work is richer for Maurine's teaching. Thank you, Maurine, for your generosity and wisdom.
