A generation after Newton's Ice Cream, Maxine worked at West Linn Thriftway. My son Nick (Bobby Kramer's grandson)entered the grocery store and made straight for "Maxine's office." Her attraction was ageless. Fondly, Linda

Since I was never priviliged to have met the late Ms. Newman, my current and lasting impressions are of a fine son Tom and grandson Kyle that were the direct result of this remarkable womens graciousness and kindness.

It's been a year now and I recall the Native American tradition of celebrating all the people who helped you through the grieving process for the year following a death. And so I celebrate all of you who have taken the time to pay your respects to Maxine. Our deepest gratitude

Nana Newt - I can't believe it's been a whole year since we lost you, it seems like it was only yesterday. I miss you dearly, but I know you are looking down on us thinking what a great family legacy you have left. We love you and miss you Maxine.

Thank you Mrs. Newton (and Newt) for your friendship, delicious ice cream, warm smile, my first job, and incredible memories. My thoughts are with you Janice and Tom.
