Kiana is Melvin's babygirl. Although she was a toddler when her father was taken from her she always knew her father loved her. Kiana is the mother of Harmony. Harmony is absolutely beautiful. Melvin's second grandchild. God Bless and keep you both.

Not only did Melvin leave behind his Mother, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and dear friends, he left behind his beautiful children. No words can express No words that i write could ever say how sad and empty i feel today. The angels came for you mucher sooner tha I had planned. I only have pictures now, a frozen piece of time. I know that my son has passed away, but I will love him until my dying day.
My nephew Melvin meant the world to us. He was more like my little brother than my nephew. Always around!!! Melvin could do no wrong. I stayed in trouble behind this boy! I could not stay mad at him for long, he was so beautiful. I will forever remember the day he was taken away from me. It was so personal. I thought that since my mother had been taken away, it could not and would not ever happen again. I won't go into details, it still hurts til this day. Melvin, I love you. I miss you. I wish you could have met your cousin Briana. She cries for you and she never even knew you. You live on for her thru me. I will always keep your memory alive. I may not talk about you, but I think of you every single day. Mary J Blige's song, " U Remind Me" will forever be our song. You loved Mary and Jodeci! I get on my treadmill with my headphones on playing this song first! Tears streaming down my face, heart heavy, chest feeling empty! I glance over at your picture I see your beautiful face. I hurt. Melvin was born June 2, 1972 to Casssandra Ann Mccoy and the late Melvin Butler Reynolds. Melvin was the most beautiful baby! He spent most of his time with his mother father aunts and Grandmother. He went everywhere with his Grandma Veola! Melvin attended Martin Luther King Elementary School in New Haven, West Hills Middle School and High School in the Community. Melvin worked at Tower One Tower East as a Chef! If you knew Melvin you knew he was "Sharp" (he got this from his mother Cassandra!) Melvin grew up in "West Hills! On January 4, 1989 Melvin and Mary Streater had a baby boy. Melvin Jamar Mccoy jr was born. Melvin was a proud father. On June 1, 1991 Melvin had a beauitful daughter with Capri Knox, " Kiana Shante Mccoy".again a proud Papa. Melvin enjoyed spending time with his bestfriends Chris Holland, Terry King, Harry Poole (rip Harry) and Jermaine Young. Melvin's little cousins looked up to him and loved him dearly. Cousins Todd Reynolds, Robert Williamson, Richard King were his boys. Melvin and his Uncle Lavan were more like brothers, they were very very close! Melvin had many aunts!!!!!! Aunt Gwen, Aunt Chee Chee, Aunt Ronnie, Aunt Nici, his mother's sisters loved him to life!!!!! His Aunt Linda, Aunt Gracie, Aunt Barbara (rip) Aunt Annie and Aunt Juanita all made up Melvin's "Reynolds" side of the family. Aunts, Cynthia ,Irish, Gail, Danity, and Verdell. Melvin had cousins!!!!!! Damond, David, Crystal, Kenny Sr, Jeffrey, Summer, Cory, Chris, Briana, Sandra, Sherese, Thomas, Ken, Kristensen, Charra, Bree (rip) Danika, Charles all on his maternal side and on his paternal side Wanda, Latisha, Yvette, Carl, Dinka, Richard, Robert, Chucky, Gerald, Nelson, Dennis, Kout, Sonya, Joey,Deon, Lamont, Maurice, Kim, Vanay, Crystal, Vaughn, Bobby, Lilly, Jose, Ralph (rip), Paul, Louis (rip) Carolyn.
