My dear uncle Emeka, it is with great sadness and sorrow that I write this tribute in your name, as words cannot describe the void created by your passing. The little time that we were able to spend while I was younger, the little memories will always be cherished and kept in eternal embrace.
May your gentle soul rest in the peaceful bossom of the Lord, amen

It is with great sadness that we the children of Late Engr. Christopher Emmanuel Onuora Offiah and Late Mrs. Georgina Chinelo Offiah Nee Nnife wish to announce the death of our brother Biokwe as he was fondly called. Losing someone you love is never easy, but when their life is taken away at such a young age it is that much more difficult. We hope that these words will help alleviate some of the grief you are all feeling today.

Emeka was a pragmatic person and lived everyday like it was his last. Even though we had wished he would settle down and choose a career and start a family that did not interest him. Emeka (Biokwe) loved to travel and explore. He had travelled since he graduated from Washinghton Memorial High School and had visited other African countries. While he was a traveller at heart, family was still very important to him. We didn’t see him as much as we liked, but he always kept in touch with us and made sure we were doing OK.

Our brother was a hard worker and always had a job no matter where in the world he was. He also loved to volunteer in charity work and helped the best way he could. He was also very interested in health and wellness. He vehemently fought against injustice and oppression and in so many ways he touched the lives not only of those close to him, but also of complete strangers. He was a devoted christain, he reminded us in our numerous telephone conversations, of the need to be true Christians.

One of the things that we respected the most about our brother was his determination to live his life the way he wanted. His goals and aspirations were different from ours, but that didn’t mean that we weren’t close. He was loved and even though we lived far apart, we kept in touch.

We, the entire family, will miss our beloved and dear brother, unle and cousin more than words can say. He may be gone but his memory will live on in our hearts forever.

May his Soul Rest in Peace. Amen
