Oreo cookies

January 31, 2019

Michael loved cookies. When the kids were little they called him the cookie monster. The cookie jar would have cookies in it when they all went to bed but in the morning it would be empty. Mike always denied eating all the cookies. One time the three of them Chris, Hunter and Halli desided to catch the cookie thief so they took oreos apart and put paste in the middle and put them in the cookie jar. ( Of course Mike knew what they were upto ) That next morning Halli was the first one out and of course Mike acted like he could not open his mouth as it was pasted shut. The kids were so excited that they had proof that he was the cookie thief. This is just one of the fun memories we have. Michael loved making the kids smile he loved to play .

Organ Donation

May 29, 2011

Michael made the decision to be an organ donor! He was able to save lives by donating his organs. Both his kidneys and liver let three other people continue living. He was unselfish even in death. A part of him lives on. Become a organ donor!

Forever in my Heart

May 28, 2011

Michel Frasher married Juanita Burchett on September 16 1987 in Winfield Kansas by Judge George Sybrant later that day we had a mock wedding Ceremony on state 5 with thousands in attendance.
I married my best friend that day. Mike was a good husband and a good father who made sure that we always had the gift of music in our life. Mike always woke up with a smile and a song I can still here you whisteling on Saturday morning as we woke the kids. And even a night at home was fun as would make fudge and popcorn and we would all cuddle on the pull out and watch a movie. Our marrage came to an end but our love and friendship never did. I can remember the day we stood in the court house and we were both crying and hugging as we signed our divorce papers and the clerk ask is this really what you two want and we both said no but it was what I needed and as always you gave me what I wanted. As I wright this crying. As your life was taken from you and many others who loved you. As I promised you I will meet you later and then we can get it right I will miss you. You will always been in my heart.

My Uncles!

May 23, 2011

I remember when I was about my baby girls age right now. 10 years old.  I have a HORRIBLE memorie, but I do remember my uncles singing "Simon and Garfunkle". Both of them harmonizing. I don't remember where we were or what the occasion but I have loved Simon and Garfunkle ever since. Didn't even know them then. I can still hear my uncles singing....love them both so much!

Singing in the Garage

May 16, 2011

Some of my favorite memories are in the music room/garage/family room.  Mike and I listening to music in the garage. I'd sing too loud and he shhhhhsh me down. He'd come home and I'd have those big ear phones on listening to music (usually the Animals - House of the Rising Sun) and I would be singing out loud and he would just smile or smart off something like ...you're off key. He and mom would play the piano and guitar and we would all sing along. We lost some music when mamma passed and more when Mike passed.  Let's keep the music going...

His smile I'll remember always!

House of the Rising Sun ~ The Animals

There is a house in New Orleans
They call the Rising Sun
And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy
And God I know I'm one

My mother was a tailor
She sewed my new bluejeans
My father was a gamblin' man
Down in New Orleans

Now the only thing a gambler needs
Is a suitcase and trunk
And the only time he's satisfied
Is when he's on a drunk

Oh mother tell your children
Not to do what I have done
Spend your lives in sin and misery
In the House of the Rising Sun

Well, I got one foot on the platform
The other foot on the train
I'm goin' back to New Orleans
To wear that ball and chain

Well, there is a house in New Orleans
They call the Rising Sun
And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy
And God I know I'm one

Christmas in Texas

May 16, 2011

one of my favorite memories was Christmas my  Sophmore year of high school. All the family came down to texas. We set around singing Christmas carols with Mike playing on the guitar then we all loaded up in the back of the truck and went caroling around town. Of course, at the time, I was a bit embarrassed but now it is sucha great memory. Many times our family would gather and sing hymns and other songs as Mike played. I will miss him greatly.
