This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Michele Yorde, 72 years old, born on October 5, 1944, and passed away on July 3, 2017. We will remember her forever.
As we celebrate the birthday of our country, I toast this glass of champagne to include both Michele and also her husband Steve. Gone but never forgotten.
I first met Steve at Wine Club Santa Ana and then Kathy and I were invited to enjoy a glass of wine with Michele and Steve at their home near our home in Fountain Valley. It was a fun afternoon talking about wine, food, and France! Eventually, we went to Champagne and Burgundy together. Michele will always be remembered for the good times together. Bless you Michele.
I had the pleasure of taking care of Michele for a little over 2 years while she was part of a study with us at Hoag. She came in every month for her infusion, passing the time with lovely visits. I had the chance to get to know her and her daughter Marlene and husband Steve. We talked travel, especially Hawaii. Her and Steve gave me crash courses in island travel and where to go since my husband and I honeymooned in Maui summer of 2016. Marlene would quiz her on workbooks from speech therapy class...many of them stumped me! Her light will continue on through her family and friends who knew her best. I was honored to share many moments with Michele. As nurses we tend to get a brief snapshot; however, because of her continued commitment we had developed a personal friendship. Cheers and Blessings~~Nurse Laura
I have never forgotten your smile and words of encouragement Michele as you and Steve took me to the Lyon, France train station for the start of my journey back to Walnut Creek, Ca. This took place over 25 years ago but you will never be forgotten. It was a great wine trip in Champagne and Burgundy with you and Steve that will always be remembered. I raised a glass of 2006 Beaune Bressandes to you last night!!!
