Mikel and I meant in January 2002. We started dating and had so much fun together. We'd go dancing every chance we had at the Paso Robles Inn; Mikel was a very good dancer. Mikel was a very generous Man and did alot around my home and my Mothers. I planned a 90th birthday for my Mom and Mikel played his music. All 75 people of my family were there and Mikel loved it. It's a great memory.
We went to Anchorage, AK. to my sister-in-laws one summer for a couple of weeks. Six of us went on a fishing charter and we brought home 90 lbs. of cleaned, packed and frozen Halibut. We had quite a few bar-B-Q,s. It was so yummy. We went boating, jet skiing and had a blast. Mikel was in awe of the beauty of AK. and the 20hr's of daylight.
Later on we went to Texas to celebrate his son Eric's graduation. A few years later we went and celebrated Holly's graduation. We had so much fun. He was so proud of his 4 children. He loved them more than they ever knew.
It was so nice to have a Man to share life with. We kept busy going to the beach or a day in San Francisco or just staying home relaxing. It was very enjoyable just to be together.
On Mikel's last birthday we went out to dinner and walked the strip in Vegas. We talked and talked. It was a beautiful warm starry night. He was planning a trip to Texas to see his Mom and Jimmy and family, but he never made it.
On April 24th I got a call at 12pm that he was in the hospital in critical
condition.. I sat with him and talked of our life together, his 4 children, his sisters Cindy and Karen and his brother Jimmy who is very ill. I feel he heard me and I am so THANKFUL I was there with him. At 4:20pm he went to be with Our Lord!
I have so many special memories of our good times together and I will miss his phone calls, his music and most of all knowing he is close by. His love will always be in my heart forever. My love to his children Mellissa, Eric, Holly and Dana. DAD loved you so very much. My love to all of Mikel's family. I will see you in Heaven Babe! My Love for you Judy
