Born in Dublin, Ireland to John and Mary Sexton of Drumcondra, Michael was possessed of a wanderlust that took him around the globe. Starting at Leslie Harris Travel Agency in Dublin, he made a career and life in travel and tourism. After leaving Leslie Harris, Michael went on to work with Thomas Cook, The Irish Tourist Board, Aer Lingus, Westours and Holland America Line. With his wife Rita and their two sons, he lived in Chicago, San Francisco, Sydney, New York, South Florida and finally Seattle. His lifetime of work in the airline, cruise and tour industries earned him tremendous respect and a large group of friends and colleagues the world over.  After a professional life dedicated to the growth of travel and tourism, Michael retired from Holland America Line in 2003. In his retirement he and Rita continued to travel with friends and family. During his life he walked on 6 continents and always did so in style. Now as he's embarked on his final journey, our message is this
