Remembering Monti on his birthday , January 23 , 2019.  Will always remember and forever missed. Til we meet Again.

I love this photo.  I've never seen it.

My husband Jon and I decided with family in 7 states to fly to California to be married.  It was to be a beautiful day overlooking the water in the park right by the marina.  Monti had to work that day so he did not think he was going to be able to make it so Traci, a guitar player, a photographer, the preacher who married us and Jon and I headed to Maria del Rey   We all arrived and wouldn't you know, here comes Monti complete with his cupid earring in!

Everything went as planned and as we were leaving to go to lunch, there was a group of people, I believe from Romania who had music playing.  So Monti went up to them, asked if he could turn up the music, and there we were dancing in the park!  Our day was made very special.  I uploaded 4 pictures to the website.

Monti loved the dog, Tosha, we had back when we were living in Santa Monica.  She was his first real pet and he adored her, and she him.  Monti and I worked on a silly fillm together in the Prop Dept.  in the early days called Prayer of The Rollerboys, and we would bring Tosha to work with us and she would stay on the Prop Truck all day. 

She was really well trained and beautiful and everyone loved her.  There was a crew of grips who would be all rough and tough and they would stop by for some Tosah loving and they would act like little kids.  She was like a therapy dog.

Well when it came time for the wrap party, which was being held at an old hotel in L.A. everyone said, "You have to bring Tosha!"  But the hotel did not allow it.  So Monti went to one of the prop houses and rented a Seeing Eye dog harness for Tosha.  He rigged her up, put on sunglasses and walked right through the hotel lobbey and into the ball room where the party was.  She played her part beautifully, as did Monti.  Once inside the room, some of the grips yelled, "TOSHA!!!!" and she made a bee line for them with Monti barely hanging on in tow.  As I stood there laughing, some woman near me (who was obviously a guest of a crew member and had not been on set) turned to her friend absolutely horrified and said, "OMG...Look at that poor blind man, his dog is running away with him!"  I thought I would die laughing...she probably thought I was horrible.  But this was a favorite story of Monti's over the years.
